GOAT

The goats raised on our farm are Boer; selected because of their fast growth rate and excellent carcass quality providing a great tasting meat. Our does are bred to ABGA Registered bucks allowing some of the kids to be sold as show goats or family pets while others remain on the farm.

The goat pastures may look different than pastures for our other animals but for good reason. Goats enjoy eating plants deemed undesirable to other animals (such as poison ivy). The goats graze the fence rows and woods, eliminating the need for herbicides to deter weed growth. In the winter months, they have access to hay that is baled on the farm.
